In September 2024, my boyfriend and I fulfilled one of my dreams: travelling to the United States for a wonderful three-week trip. The main goal was to discover Montana and the iconic locations from Far Cry 5 (did I mention I’m a fan? Haha…).
Here are a few highlights from the game, even though our trip wasn’t limited to Montana.
First stop: Bozeman area, which means The Ringing Rocks, Our Lady of the Rockies, Old Montana Prison…
The Ringing Rocks
I spent a summer in Montana doing geology field school for my degree and LOVED IT THERE! I was about an hour west of Bozeman. Playing the game gives me such a burst of nostalgia, especially after I put it down and pick it up again after a little while! I’m just about to start up a new game (yet again 🤣) and am feeling the call of the Whitetails.
Lovely! It is a beautiful state, isn’t it? I’d love to go back there on holiday.
wow impressive, i just found out that montana actually exist in the real world?, is far cry 5 based on a true story and then modified?
Lol. Yes, it’s mostly based upon David Koresh’s cult, but Ubisoft used multiple different stories to build the scenario.
